Norah I second that. When seeing the St Joseph Nuns in Rome it crossed my mind of how disappointed St Mary of the Cross would be if she came back down to earth now. Her schools have no nuns left teaching in them and no real Religion being taught and her nuns cannot be recognised as nuns. It would have been great if they had worn their Holy Habit even for the Canonization. I was taught by these nuns years ago when they still wore their Habit and while some were tough they taught us what being a Catholic was all about. St Mary of the Cross pray for us all especially your nuns and your schools
Norah and Gabrielle-I third that! I glimpsed the Sisters' website, and there wasn't a habit or veil to be seen. And it seems that the majority of the community is of late middle-age and beyond. You don't see any young faces.
St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop, please pray for your spiritual daughters!
Please pray for Father Clifton (aka Father Mildew) who is carry a very heavy cross at the moment at the hands of Monsignor Basil Loftus (http://michaelclifton.blogspot.com/2010/10/very-bad-news.html).
As Monsignor Basil Loftus is in the same diocese as yourselves (and known for being a traditionalist priest like yourself), Father MM perhaps you would like to comment on the matter?
Pray also that St Mary of the Cross intercede for the order she founded that the Sisters of St Joseph may return to the authentic Catholic Faith.
