I recorded the Magnificat Antiphon and Magnificat from the Second Vespers of yesterday's feast, Our Lady of the Rosary, here at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary and I thought that the readers of our blog might like to hear it. The recorder was a little too close to the schola and so there is some distortion.
You are very, very lucky to have such a seminary formation! I had to put up with banjos and guitars twanging out, "I see the Lord standing on a mountain top." May God bless this holy environment to nurture your vocations.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so nice to have this at the FSSP seminary in Denton. Thanks and May God richly bless you.
ReplyDeleteIS VERY BEAUTIFUL!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE CHANT
GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR YOUR VOCATION AND ALL SEMINARIANS ARE A GIFT OF GOD FOR THE WORLD GIVING TESTIMONY.
In spite of the distortion you pointed out (which I barely hear, by the way, since I am hard of hearing), I think this is a very beautiful recording of the chant. Our Lady is pleased, in spite of the mistakes we might make. May she, as Queen of the Holy Rosary, grant you abundant holiness in your vocation for time and for eternity!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully sung! Reminded me of the choir of Our Lady's chapel, Stronsay, - on a good day of course!! Thanks for this post Brother. God bless and keep singing!
ReplyDeleteI can listen to this over and over again. God bless the whole FSSR.
