Is it too simplistic to see this as a symbol of the way the Devil attacks Christian souls and seeks to isolate and then destroy them?

How absolutely AWESOME!!!! This puts me in mind of growing up in Cape Breton. Our winter storms were much the same. In the meantime, here in the North Eastern United states; we have been innundated with snow. I will take the glory of wind and sea ANY DAY.
As always, the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer are remembered DAILY in my Masses and prayers.

oh that looks like such wild weather! and here in Christchurch, New Zealand, we have been sweltering in 36deg and more!
may God bless you all and keep you safe and "weathertight"!

Mario, where are you !!! ( Nb For the uninitiated Mario is the officially appointed boatman - responsible for sailings between Papa Stronsay and Stronsay.) I don't know, any excuse for the afternoon off!! Joking of course!!
WOW and we thought we had it rough on the farm over here on "Mainland"!
