Thank you Father Anthony Mary, confrères and friends
for the kind messages that you have sent me.
I remember you all, your families and your intentions
at the altar of God.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is our greatest mainstay
during this earthly exile.
After Baptism and the Holy Mass
my greatest treasure is the monastic calling.
Of that calling, St Gregory of Nyssa said:
To find God is to seek him unceasingly.
The reward of the search is to go on seeking.
For to find God is never to have had your fill of desiring Him.
I ask the grace to ever seek after Him
and that He never gives up on me.
Thank you for your prayers.

I am on the left with Br M. with whom I had been a novice
the previous 12 months.

God bless you and I posted a prayer for you and all the good men in your order today on my blog.
ReplyDeletePlease continue to pray for me in your charity.
God bless and many happy years more.
Thank you, Father, for your holy example, and your unfailing devotion to our Blessed Lord and Holy Mother. Inspired by the Redemptorist spirit that imbues these pages, I've begun to meditate on St. Alphonsus' great treatise, "The Passion and the Death of Jesus Christ". Therein I happened upon a line from the book of Lamentations, a line of unsurpassed poetic Beauty:
ReplyDeleteO, all ye that pass by the way ...
God bless!
Ad multos annos!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I wasn't in time for the big day.
May God bless and prosper you and your work.
May God continue to bless you abundantly, dear Fr Michael Mary. You are as always in my daily prayer.
ReplyDeleteWell it has been a long road since 1972....who of us from Hofbauer House would have seen then where you would be now???
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
May the Ruby turn to Gold and the Gold make way for the Diamond. And I pray that each will be the foreshadowing of the imperishable crown which the Lord will give you on That Day!
ReplyDeleteFather Michael Mary - Many Happy Returns of your Religious Profession anniversary!
