Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Chartres, Day 2.

We have no photographs of the pilgrimage as yet.

On the

Pèlerinage de Chrétienté, J2, Dimanche

there is this:

Samedi, 17.00 - Ils viennent d’Ecosse.

Bonne route !

The following clip expresses
the French traditionalist Catholic spirit:

intense, earnest,
noble,
absolutely true
,
of course, and ....

... serious to a point of also being
delightfully amusing
;

it has that certain French
"je ne sais quoi..."
that provokes you to conclude:
Vive la France Catholique!
Bravo!

Thank you so much for these reports about the Chartres Pilgrimage.
I'd love to see the full kto programme. Can you supply a link?

Many thanks, and prayers,

Jane

Dear Jane
I came across this here while checking the links of the Pilgrimage site on the post:

http://lesalonbeige.blogs.com/my_weblog/2011/06/la-soutane-est-indispensable-pour-un-pretre-catholique.html

and then tracked it down on Gloria TV. I don't know if there is a larger clip. He's a very convinced priest.... we need so many more.

Dear Fr. Michael Mary,

Thank you for answering me so quickly.

I'll check out your guidelines.

Yes, a very convinced and brave priest. I think there ARE many more waiting in the wings, but having to keep their heads down for the time being. Many more than I think is generally realised or even suspected.

Thank you for all that you do and for your fine blog.

With the promise of my poor prayers,
Jane

Dear Fr Michael Mary,

Thank you for responding so quickly. I will follow your guidance.

Yes, a very convinced and brave priest. I'm sure there are many more like him, who are having to keep their heads down for the time being.

Thank you for all you do and for your fine blog.

With the assurance of my poor prayers,

Jane

Dear Father Michael Mary,

I've found out who the priest is. He is Cure of a flourishing parish of St Vincent de Paul in Marseilles. The clip is from a longer programme on the kto series 'L'Esprit des Lettres' They interviewed him about his recently published book, 'Hommme et Pretre'. And his name is - wait for it - Pere Michel Marie (Zanotti)! His site is at:
http://www.delamoureneclats.fr/
It's the type of site where you click to enter from a front page. Once you're in you can find access to view the kto programme. I,ve linked to his site on ny Oasis and am looking forward to watching the video this evening.

Apparently on the eve of Pentecost he sent 62 adults from his parish for Confirmation, I suppose at Marseilles Cathedral.

Thank you for wetting me off on this search.

Oh, I made a similar faux pas when I was in La Loye (Dole region), France, in the year 2000! I got excited about the whole town celebrating Armistice Day and les pompiers forming a guard of honour in the church during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. After the ceremony at the town's War Memorial, where the name of each of the city's fallen was announced and was followed by the cry "Died for France!", I exclaimed: "C'est si bon!" and a woman said to me "they only say that in Hollywood"!
