Mandatum

On Maunday Thursday, according to our Redemptorist Rule, Rev. Father Superior has to deliver to his subjects a spiritual conference after which, he humbly washes their feet, while the Schola sings the Mandatum and the Ubi caritas et amor.



Here Rev Fr Michael Mary, C.SS.R. delivers a sermon while members of the community are listening to it attentively.




After the sermon he reads the passage concerning this mystery from St. John's Gospel.



In the following photo he washes first the feet of the Rector Fr Anthony Mary, C.SS.R. then the feet of all who are present.
