On 15th August, the feast of Our Lady's Assumption in heaven, Br Seelos Maria, F.SS.R. and Br Peter Mary, F.SS.R. made their perpetual profession of the vows of religion: Poverty, Chastity and Obedience, and joined to it a fourth vow and oath of Perseverance in the Congregation until death, as has been done since the time of St Alphonsus.
Thanks be to God, Br Seelos's parents were able to be with their son on this day, all the way from Kansas, USA.
The Veni Creator Spiritus.
Br Seelos Maria confirms his desire to consecrate himself entirely to God for the rest of his life.
Br Peter Mary does the same.
Kneeling before the Most Blessed Sacrament, the two Brothers pronounce their vows, and with their hand on the Holy Gospel, they call God to be their witness.
By these vows, made before God Himself, Brs Seelos and Peter give themselves entirely to Him.
The Congregation of the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer is now stronger than ever, with two more perpetually professed members. Deo Gratias et Mariae!
