A Mighty Kauri has Fallen.

The Congregation of the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer
mourns the death of 
the Bishop of Christchurch, New Zealand
who died today.



Most Reverend Barry Jones, D.D., R.I.P.
Eternal Rest grant unto him O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

Bishop Jones issued the canonical invitation 
inviting our Congregation
to establish a house within his diocese.
He will be ever remembered as our benefactor
and, indeed for us,
in the expression of New Zealanders,
he was 
"A Mighty Kauri."



O God who in the apostolic priesthood 
didst cause Thy servant Barry, 
to be honoured with the pontifical dignity, 
grant, we beseech Thee,  
that he may be joined forevermore 
to the fellowship of Thine apostles. 
Through  our Lord Jesus Christ Thy Son. Amen.
